What is the Granbury Grand Prix?

The Granbury Grand Prix is a two-day electric racing festival taking place September 19–20, 2026, in the Historic Granbury Square in Granbury, Texas. Competitors race electric scooters, skateboards, BMX bikes, dirt bikes, ATVs, and karts in a safe, family-friendly environment.
 

Who organizes the Granbury Grand Prix?

The event is organized by NXTGenSprts, creators of community-based electric racing events where local residents compete on behalf of local businesses.
 

What makes the Granbury Grand Prix different?

Unlike traditional racing events, community members race. Competitors represent local businesses and organizations while competing for trophies, prizes, and qualification opportunities to the NXT Fest National Finals in Las Vegas.

September 19–20, 2026.

Historic Granbury Square in Granbury.


Attending the Event

Is the event free to attend?

Yes! Spectator admission is completely free.


Do I need a ticket to watch?

No. The event is free and open to the public.

Is the event family-friendly?

Absolutely. The Granbury Grand Prix is designed for all ages.

Can anyone race?

Yes. No prior racing experience is required.


What ages can compete?

Competitors must be at least 10 years old.


Do I need racing experience?

No. The event is specifically designed for beginners and first-time racers.


What categories can I race in?

  • Electric Scooters

Can I race in multiple categories?

Yes. Participants may enter multiple categories, subject to availability and scheduling.


How many races can I enter?

  • Up to 2 races per day

  • Up to 4 races total during the weekend


How long are the races?

Each race consists of 10 laps.


How many racers compete at one time?

Typically between 10 and 20 racers compete in each division.


How are racers grouped?

Racers are grouped by age to ensure fair competition.


Are the vehicles equal?

Yes. All vehicles within a category have identical performance specifications.


Is this about skill rather than equipment?

Yes. Every competitor races with the same equipment, creating a true skill-versus-skill competition.


Registration

How much does it cost to race?

  • Ages 10–17: $50 per race

  • Ages 18 and older: $75 per race


What is included in the entry fee?

  • Race vehicle

Do I need to bring my own vehicle?

No. Everything is provided.


Do I need to bring my own safety gear?

No. All required safety equipment is provided.

Yes. Popular divisions may fill before the event.


Can I register on-site?

If spaces remain available, yes. However, advance registration is strongly recommended.


Safety


Is racing safe?

Safety is the highest priority. All participants use approved equipment and race under controlled conditions.


Is safety gear required?

Yes.


What safety gear is provided?

  • Helmet

Are vehicles inspected?

Yes. All race vehicles are prepared and maintained by event staff.


Is medical staff on-site?

Yes, subject to availability.

There are 20 teams total and a limited number of official team positions are still available.
